SYNOPSIS: (From Goodreads)

Lia thought of the dark night, of the broken street light.

Had Diana gone out to meet her? Had she been waiting for her, alone in the park?

Or had someone been waiting for Diana?

Lia and Diana are the It girls of Empire Hill High. Their lives are perfect….until Diana disappears and the rumors start flying.

Everyone thinks Diana is a runaway, including the police. Lia is secretly convinced it’s all a prank. Then she finds a crushed red rose tied with a candy-cane ribbon where Diana went missing. And next to it, a  YOU.

It’s the same ribbon Lia’s received on gifts from a “secret admirer.” Did someone come for Diana that night? And will Lia be next?

REVIEW
**A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.**

Hannah Jayne is a well know YA Fiction writer and I have enjoyed many of her books before. I knew I had to read We Did Nothing Wrong right away. From the beginning I was hooked to know what happen to Diana and finished this book very fast.

The story follows that of missing Diana and her best from Lia, who is trying to figure out where her friend is while a lot of people just assume Diana ran away. At first, Lia thinks it’s a joke and Diana is making a point, but as she starts to question everything, everyone starts to look suspicious. I really liked how the more we learned, the more confusing the story got. Not in a bad way, but in a way that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Lia’s character was the fun to read from. The was strong headed and bold, yet still had that youngness and naivete to make her actions seem crazy at times. Diana’s character had me mad at times in flash backs because I cannot imagine how they were friends. She wasn’t that good of a friend and she also was kind of rude and entitled. Jayne did a great job of pulling out emotions as I read and really making me keep guessing.

If you love a really good “whodunit?” then you should pick up We Did Nothing Wrong. Hannah Jayne is such a phenomenal writer, and I look forward to reading more from her in the future.
