REVIEW: HelloFresh Meal Delivery Service

Coming up with new and delicious ideas for dinner is a struggle for everyone. Recently I had a friend recommend Hello Fresh to me. She had tried it herself and loved it. Hello Fresh is a service that offers boxes of meals for families of all different sizes. The meals come in a box with all necessary ingredients and easy to follow instructions. You then get to try new ideas that I can say you probably hadn’t heard of before. I haven’t had a single one I can honestly say I’d tried before.

My first box I tried was their classic box. A classic box is for meat eaters. Although, you may get a meal that involves no meat… but there will be at least one. My first box consisted of soy glazed steak with wasabi mashed potatoes and sesame spinach, turkey and sage tetrazzini with mushrooms, and summer squash delicata. My response. Oh my gosh! So good! The steaks are beautiful looking and taste great. The vegetables they send are all fresh. And while some of these sound hard, the directions are super easy to follow.

Here is a picture of my Sage and Turkey Tetrazzini.

The process is so easy to follow. Most of it is chopping up the vegetables, sauteing and stirring. They literally send everything you will need aside from oil for your pan or butter. Most of us have those lying around.

I also tried out a vegetarian box. This came with a pear and turnip soup dish, seitan bolognese, and kale rissoto. I have to admit I was honestly not that thrilled with the soup idea, but it turned out way better than it sounded. I didn’t think pear and turnips could go together, but it made the perfect balance. Another dish I never would have tried on my own. The rissoto was one of my favorites. It does take a bit longer to make and does have specific steps, but I was still able to get through it and it tasted amazing!

One thing I am always concerned with is leftovers. Leftovers can be a complete hit or miss. With the amount of food you get, even for a family of two, you could potentially have lots of leftovers. I made sure to save enough to try as leftovers out of each of my dishes. I was not disappointed. I literally ate Tetrazzini for 3 days straight. It was that good.

Hello Fresh offers a great array of dishes for all people, the prices are competitive and they offer great deals. You can also cancel your subscription at any time or pause it if you are having financial trouble or just don’t like the upcoming menu. The upcoming menu can be seen a few weeks in advance! Which is great for people like me who have super busy schedules and can pause on weeks I won’t have too much time to cook.

If you would like to try out Hello Fresh for yourself, you can do so by clicking HERE and you’ll get $40 off your first box, courtesy of me and Hello Fresh! I promise, just try it once and you will be hooked. Plus… with the ingredients involved, it would cost you equally as much, if not more, to go to the store and get all the ingredients yourself. But this way you get new ideas and you can avoid the crowds. It ships right to your door!

So go ahead and get your first Hello Fresh box for $40 off here and tell us what you think after you try it out!
