Three friends in the L.A. area take on the world of swipe dating (Tinder) where you pick your dates based on first impression looks. No bios. No nothing. These three 30 something men start going on dates. Some seem great. Others disastrous. It’s a true life look at what people go through when going on these swipe dates.
The characters, played by some talented actors, all have different personalities, different issues of their own, and different lifestyles. Somehow they all mesh and stand by each other. While there were some great laughs in this film, especially watching a bunch of grown men take new profile pictures for themselves, this film is not the one to pick if you are looking for something deeper. It’s a great laugh and filled with funny antics that keeps you interested, though. There could have been more substance to the storyline aside from a group of friends trying to find a date, but the goal is to make people laugh.
While I might not add it to my top five movies of all time, it would be one to keep around for those fun nights when you just need a good laugh and a good time with your friends. Not a bad movie and my interest is peaked to see what director Ash Avildsen (also played DJ in the movie) would be up to next.
