Privacy Policy

This policy briefly outlines the information I collect from and how I protect the privacy of my readers.

Commenting:
When commenting on posts on #NerdProblems, the information you enter in the comment form (Name, email address, and website) will be stored on the server. The purpose of including your email address is so that when I reply to your comment, you will receive an email notification. I will not use your email address for any other purpose, nor will I sell/share it with a third party. Akismet, a spam detection service is used to determine if your comment is spam. Any personal information you choose to post publicly as a comment on #NerdProblems is not protected by our policy.

Cookies:
An analytics monitoring system is used to track visitors to #NerdProblems. Each time you visit, a cookie is set on your IP address. This is assigned a random ID and stored in orer to avoid counting you as a visitor more than once in the same setting and will count your future visits. Social Media Sharing:
Each of ourblog posts have social media icons available (using a GDPR compliant plug-in that does not track your data) for your convenience. The Facebook widget may collect your IP address, your web browser User Agent, store and retrieve cookies on your browser, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with the widget, including correlating your Facebook account with whatever action you take within the widget (such as “liking/sharing/recommending” a post), if you are logged in to Facebook. The Twitter Tweet widget makes requests to Twitter’s servers for you to be able to tweet my posts using your Twitter account. These requests make your IP address visible to Twitter, who may use it in accordance with their data privacy policy.

Third Parties:
Blog posts on this site may contain embedded videos or links to other websites. These websites do not have the same privacy policy and may use cookies, track your location, and track your interaction with that content. Please check those site’s privacy policies for more information on how they are using your information.
