REVIEW:

**A copy of this book was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.**

When I saw this book up for review I knew that it was in my wheel well.  It had books, Scotland and Australia rolled up into one tidy package.  I make no effort to hide my love of books.  My friend and I have talked about opening a bookstore/coffee shop at some point in our lives.  I even have a book-themed tattoo.  I couldn’t wait to read this book.  (spoiler: I read it in less than a day)

Livie is livid.  Her best friend, Kyle, from her childhood, is marrying her BEF, Mia, (best enemy forever).  She has been in love with him since he put worms down her shirt while they were in primary school.  When she finally has the guts to tell him how she feels it is in a drunken stupor and on the day before he actually gets married.  The next day she still can’t believe that he is marrying that “bitch”.  She decides to keep her mouth shut until Kyle needs her to help him get around.  She decides at that moment that she will once again tell him how she felt.  Things come to a head when Mia calls off the wedding because her dress got dirty,  That and she didn’t feel like the vibes were quite right.  Kyle forgives her and they get married a week later.  But not before Livie and Kyle have a massive falling out over the fact that he actually forgives Mia, Livie doesn’t even go to the wedding.  Life goes on for both of them, but Livie can’t get over Kyle.  In the heat of the moment, Livie decides to move to Scotland to open a bookstore for the company she works for.  Back in Australia, things are slowly crumbling around Kyle’s ears.  Will Kyle realize before it is too late that Livie is truly his soulmate?  Will Livie be able to move on from her love for Kyle or will it tarnish all her future romances?

I loved this book from start to finish.  The characters were well rounded.  They had issues that they needed to work out.  With Kyle, it was the fact that his “wife” married him just to win the ultimate fight with Livie.  She knew that Livie loved Kyle.  She just was using him. With Livie it was the fact that she loved someone who she couldn’t have or do anything about.  The author painted such a vivid picture of the bookstore that she opened that I wanted to visit just so I could see it!  The author’s dialogue was easy and it made it a quick read.  I will certainly be keeping an eye out for more by this author.
