WARNING GRAPHIC SEX SCENES
I don’t remember where I picked this book up at. It may have been Target, because I know I started to read it around Christmas as a themed read but then kept having to put it down to read other things that needed to be done at certain times. The one thing that also drew me to it was the author. I have read the book Dumplin’ by this author and loved it. The other author I have never read before but knew she was a fairly steamy author in her books.
Bee is nervous. She has her first acting job on a legit movie. The secret with
Bee? She is a porn star who only “acts” in pornos. She is to keep her identity secret so people actually take her serious. Nolan is a ex-boy-band member. He has a history of being a bad boy and he is trying to straighten that out for his family and for himself. No one on set knows that Bee is a porn star. Except she wasn’t counting on Nolan recognizing her. He is a member of her online presence. Nolan didn’t count on Bee loving him when he was a boy band member. Will they be able to keep everything on the down low so no one finds out. Alright upfront again…..(seems to be my forte) this book does have graphic sex scenes to it may not be for you. I absolutely loved this book once I was finally able to actually sit down and read it. Once I got the ball rolling I think I finished it in about 2 days.
I loved the joining of these two authors. Julie Murphy writes plus size characters that make them seen and not heard. She gives them a voice in a society that looks down upon them. Sierra Simone writes the steamy scenes that make your face blush. I found myself cheering for this couple and gasping when they almost got caught especially since Bee had no sex rule from the director of the show who also happened to be her boss at the adult film place where she worked. It was a seasonal Christmas book that wanted me to be cozied up with a hot cocoa and a warm blanket. I loved the writing style it was quick and witty. Only qualm with the book honestly was that it wasn’t long enough. I wanted more Nolan and Bee. I hope these two authors do more collaborations in the future I would definitely read them.
