REVIEW:

**A copy of this book was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.**

I had some initial concerns with this being a YA novel featuring teenagers, however, I really enjoyed The Fandom. Being in my late thirties, sometimes it is hard to relate to characters that are much younger than myself but that is not the case in this book. I found that Violet, the main character, took me back to my own teenage years, as I found a lot of similarities between herself and I. Her voice is very strong and the character growth in all of the kids is very well done.

Occasionally, I found myself mentally comparing this book to The Hunger Games because there are moments that really mimic that series of books. That is the only critique I can actually make about this story. Overall, it was very inventive and very well told. There isn’t one of us as readers who hasn’t wished we could step into the lives and events of our favorite stories. This book allows that to happen and at the same time, shows us that the grass is not always greener on the other side. I hope that there will be a sequel at very least because I would gladly read it and I will be recommending The Fandom to all of my friends.
