REVIEW:
Being the mother of a six year old girl, I am highly bothered by the fact I have never heard of this author or set of books before. Princess Cupcake Jones is quite possibly the cutest little girl and the lessons you learn while reading these books are so great for your child. My hat is off to author Ylleya Fields and illustrator Michael LaDuca.

“Princess Cupcake Jones Won’t Go To School!” follows the story of Princess Cupcake as she prepares for her first day of school. As you read the story you see her try to get out of school between using illness or lost clothes all because she is scared. The lesson of the story reveals itself as the story wraps up. Fields has a writing style that reminds me of the great Dr. Seuss, making rhymes that made my daughter giggle. LaDuca did an incredible job with the graphics using bright and vibrant colors that draw you in. The details were exactly right too. I also loved that there was diversity in the characters and the tantrum of a true child!

There is no hesitancy in me as I give this book a five stars. Every parent should have this book for their child. I cannot wait to get the first book in this series, “Princess Cupcake Jones and the Missing Tutu” as well! Very impressed with the writing and the illustrations! Great job!

You can find this book at the Princess Cupcake Jones website, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and mark it TO READ on Goodreads! You can also follow the series on Facebook! Author Ylleya Fields can be found on Twitter as well!
