“Cloudy with a Chance of Destruction” is a short story introduction to the already released “Lois Lane: Fallout”, which I reviewed back in April. Being only a handful of pages, there is not much to say about it aside from it’s great. This short story has the same fun vibe “Fallout” held and is reminiscent of Veronica Mars, yet again. We got a glimpse of Lois Lane prior to her coming to Metropolis and starting her journey there. Bond does a great job of bringing our favorite superhero sidekick to life and showing us the younger version of her.
This short shows us the quick thinking we know Lois Lane for and how it came about. It also shows how she is constantly aware of her surroundings and the consequences she will likely face due to her actions. She is aware of them and she still goes for it in a way that makes me love the stories lead girl. Short or long, Bond has a fan in me on this Lois Lane series, and probably on anything she writes on her napkin even. She just has a way about her that makes you enjoy the writing. Fantastic job again Bond!
