I have recently read the last three books that this author has written. When she found out that I hadn’t read the short story that she wrote as well she offered to send it to me. I was pretty excited to read it.
Kelly is an avid Wildcat fan. She watches or attends every game. One day her boyfriend of 3 years is unable to attend so she watches from home. Her perfect life and her love of Wildcat football all comes crashing down when her boyfriend gets caught on kiss cam kissing another woman. This short story is short and sweet at 45 pages I believe. It is quick and easy to read and I knocked it out in 30-45 minutes if that. In this story, the author tackles cheating boyfriends and being caught in an incredibly public way. Her whole family watched the game as well as her friends. I know what it feels like to be cheated on. That crushing feeling where everything you thought you knew is gone.
The story is sweet. The nurse is speechless when she meets her favorite player, even though she tells him its not him. The player takes such a shine to Kelly that he asks her to be his private nurse. There is an obvious attraction between the two. I hope that the author makes Kelly’s short story a full-on book. I need to find out what happens between Kelly and her admirer.
