Friends with benefits never looked so tempting…

Samantha Hasting is a woman sick of living in a rut. Her whole life revolves around her work and her best friends. Wanting to meet new people—including a man who makes her heart beat faster—she signs up for online dating.

As Sam embarks on her dating adventures, her best friend—and friend with benefits—Levi is her constant, a shoulder to cry on and buddy to laugh with. It’s only after she meets and starts dating Jack that she realizes maybe Levi means more to her than she’d thought. Maybe the man who makes her heart beat faster was right there all along.

REVIEWS:

**A copy of this book was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.**

I recently found myself looking to expand my “fluff” novel authors.  When an email came from the publisher saying they were looking for reviewers for these books I jumped at the chance to expand my bookshelf with new authors.

Sam and her best friend Leona are in a rut.  They do the same thing day in and day.  They haven’t been on a date in some months.  Sam hatches a plot one night:  she would tackle the world of online dating and Leona would tackle the world of speed dating.  Hopefully, this way they would be able to find someone that was worth a second date.  Sam was thorough, weeding guys out until she had it narrowed down to 4.  The only problem that Leona sees with Sam’s dating is Levi, Sam’s best friend with A LOT of benefits.  What will Sam do when she finally finds a guy that ticks all her boxes?  Will she kick Levi to the curb?  Will she be able to cut ties or will she realize that what ticked all her boxes was right in front of her the whole time?

The book was short and sweet.  Clocking in at only 55 pages.  It offered a quick one-two romance.  I wish that it would have been longer.  I really wanted to get into Sam and Levi’s story.  I wanted more of Levi’s story in general.  Everything except for probably a chapter was from Sam’s point of view which is fine but it was supposed to be about two characters. The romance scenes really left nothing to the imagination.  It dove right in and laid it all out there for you to read.  Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t horrible but I think it was a bit too much for the story.  It just didn’t feel like it was needed to tell the story.  I am definitely adding this author to my radar for future reading
